I love that you have ported these games to Flash. This and OutZone are a great combination of old shmups. Keep it up.

"Nice smooth animation but a fizzled concept."

Good art and animation as always but I think you ran out of ideas this time around. I love your previous works so I know you will redeem yourself eventually. Excellent voice work, as always.

The Legend Preview

"Red helicopters and blue guns."

submission: The Legend Preview

I can definitely see where you were inspired from Strider, even though I planned to take the story in a slightly different direction. Your sense of cinematics and awareness of the camera is excellent - much more defined and mature than most of your colleagues. Try not to overuse the filter effects...when used in the right amounts they can be lethal - when overused there is nothing to help distinguish between special effects and what you're trying to portray. Your backgrounds and artwork are amazing - sometimes the objects (helis, guns) don't blend well but if you keep in mind what kind of atmosphere you are trying to develop then eventually you will get it down (for instance, is this a futuristic setting?) - this is only a preview anyway. I enjoyed this one and I really hope you continue. Keep up the good work.

Circuit Skirmish 2

"Excellent."

submission: Circuit Skirmish 2

You've outdone yourself. I remember watching the first one and enjoying it but this is something else, something with great atmosphere and tons of originality. To be honest, watching this reminded me of the script to my own little sequel of robot carnage, but I will probably never get it made. Your sense of style and cinematics is a breath of fresh air. Great work on this! Keep it up.

300 Sticks

"Ah, refreshing."

submission: 300 Sticks

Well done. I love the smoothness of your style...it keeps a serious tone throughout (the parody itself is still hilarious, though). You know how to master special effects within flash while still maintaining a good pace, and that is impressive. I have an extreme fondness for stick death, but so little animations satisfy my dark tastes. This one, however, is awesome and I eagerly await anything new from you. Keep up the great work.

One critique. I know you probably have your reasons, but you should work on animating blood. It seems that you can animate believable physics, so try incorporating some more gore into your next animation. That is all.

Author's Response:

Thank you C:

I am coming out with a 3 minute + animation on the legend of zelda. So look out C:

Thank you so much for reviewing, and just for your concern, I'm animating blood atm. I srsly haven't animated blood since last year because I gave up for a while on it.

But look out for 2 collabs of which I'm in, come out.. and one huge animation C:

Thanks again Devilsheep!

"Excellent."

A very nice pseudo-portfolio, if I may call it that. It is amazing how much your style becomes more defined as you animate more and allow your ideas to mature. There are some obvious references to Toughluck's older animations, but you have created a cinematic atmosphere that rivals even those. Keep up the great work.

Casualties Of A Dice Game

"I don't review half of the shit here, but..."

Your style has captured my attention yet again, Bizerk. This time you brought a little flavor to your project, and it works well. You didn't constantly keep throwing out hints and cliches to the lyrics like most people do when they run out of ideas, but instead you give a story with a good mixture of well-drawn sketches, smooth animations, and a steady flow. Your gore, how I love it, is always top-notch and gives a good sense of realism to the animation. Sometimes your good artwork makes other scenes look weak in comparison, but it's hardly anything to complain about, since you make up for it with more eye candy and a nice framerate. You're proving yourself to be one of the finest animators in the internet community today. While I'm not a big fan of hip-hop, this was still entertaining and I await your next big animation...because I know it's going to be spectacular.

If there's one thing I have to say as a critique, it's that you should take your time on everything. I know you aren't as good at drawing cars as you are at drawing slashed arteries, but work on it. When everything looks as good as everything else, you'll be paid for stuff like this.

Hey, to the guy complaining about the preloader: shut the hell up and rate the animation, not the damn lack of coding.

Spak, brilliant as ever. Thomas Dolby (one of my favs) really gave you that creative edge, and you brought the music to life. You have an original and fantastic style, and you're def. gonna go places with animation. Great work.
